Best Light Roast Coffee: Antebellum Blend

Far and away the best light roast coffee blend we carry is our Antebellum Blend! The Antebellum Blend is expertly crafted with your morning breakfast in mind. It is roasted with a light profile, and, like most of our coffees, this blend is a great way to light up your morning.

Our best light roast coffee Antebellum Blend features seasonal Latin American coffees, primarily from Peru and Guatemala. Guatemalan coffee provides the perfect balance of full-bodied beans, strong and sweet with complex flavor notes. Peruvian coffees are known for being light-bodied but equally flavorful and aromatic. The result is a light breakfast blend with developed light-medium profile which is comparable to our single origin Peru and Guatemala coffees and is a great way to start the day.

We source our Peruvian beans predominantly from the CENFROCAFE cooperative. This amazing coop, which formed in 1999 with just 220 small-scale coffee farmers, now includes more than 2,000 farmer members in local associations spanning across twelve districts within the lush Cajamarca region. CENFROCAFE works hard to provide technical and marketing services to thousands of small-scale farmers in Northern Peru.

Our Guatemalan coffees come mainly from Manos Campesinas, an organization of small-scale coffee producers in the highlands of southwestern Guatemala with around 1200 members. Manos Campesinas also supports its members by offering technical support to help the farmers diversify their product, convert to organic production, improve the administration of the cooperatives, and promote the production of woman-owned and farmed coffee.

Because of its light, chocolately profile we proudly submitted our Antebellum Blend with our Roaster of the Year application. Our best light roast coffee is exclusively available online and in a few select Florida retail locations; you cannot find this coffee in our cafes. Start your morning with a cup today!
