This specialty coffee is brought to you from Phoka Hills, in Malawi, through exporting cooperatives Mzuzu Coffee and Sucafina. With washing stations, cupping laboratories and trained cuppers in all zones and a central cupping laboratory; these organic coffee producers practice hand-sorting and color-sorting with all of its lots. “We believe that the best way to improve our communities and livelihoods of our farmers is by producing sustainable, higher-yielding coffees of outstanding quality.”

The folks at Phoka Hills produce their organic coffee with pride and care for family farms in the mountains overlooking Lake Malawi, backed by forrest and surrounded by beautiful views. They express, “Thanks to fair trade and our commitments to producing quality coffee, we are achieving these aims and making improvements. Many of our homes now have solar panes and piped water.”
