Delightful Cold Brew from Colombia’s Fondo Paez

This great cold brewed coffee originated from Fondo Paez Cooperative, a 550 member organization from the Cauca department of southwest Colombia which was founded in 1992. Fondo Paez is a democratically governed fair-trade organization that is passionate about balancing the growth of high-quality coffee with preserving the cultural traditions of the Paez people, Colombia’s largest indigenous group. For more information about Fondo Paez Cooperative’s equal ownership model and information on the Paez people, please visit Coop Coffees’ page about this producer partner.

While coffee from Fondo Paez Cooperative is typically notable for its bright acidity and stone fruit flavors, it works exceptionally well as a cold brewed coffee roasted at a higher temperature and retains indulgent chocolate, brown sugar, and caramel flavors along with a sweet citrus finish.

The Bottom Line

If you want to recreate the cold brewed coffee experience of Amavida’s cafes in your own home, look no further than our Cold Brew Blend. This coffee is well-balanced and incredibly refreshing, whether you choose to brew it hot or to serve it over ice. With notes of chocolate and citrus throughout, it pairs well with milk and is one of the most popular coffees we sell.
