This premium organic lot from Peru is a very limited release from our long-time producer partner Sol y Cafe. It is a beautiful representation of the Gesha variety of coffee, a darling in the coffee industry. Orange blossom, jasmine, and hibiscus in the aroma give way to peach, orange blossom and jasmine in the cup. This is an exceptionally delicate and unique coffee that we are thrilled to add to our reserve line-up.

Jeinner Cubas Vasquez
Each year, we seek out exceptional producers across Latin America whose coffees tell a story of dedication, innovation, and community. From the highlands of Cajamarca, Peru, Jeinner Cubas Vasquez’s Gesha from Finca El Ingenio is one of the most distinctive lots we’ve tasted this season. With a notes of jasmine, peach and orange blossom, this offering reflects Jeinner’s passion for quality and experimentation.
Born and raised in the El Nogal district of Jaén, Jeinner began working with the Sol & Café cooperative in 2008 and became a certified Q Grader. Since joining the cooperative, he has built a reputation as one of their most quality-focused producers. Constantly refining his methods, Jeinner experiments with different fermentation techniques and varieties to explore the full range of what his farm can produce. His attention to detail results in coffees that consistently rank among the best in the cooperative.
This coffee is of the Gesha Variety, one of the highest regarded varieties in the coffee industry for its complexity in the cup. It was grown at elevations between 1880 and 2000 meters on Jeinner’s 3-hectare farm, Finca El Ingenio. The high altitude and cool climate contribute to a slow cherry maturation, yielding complex flavor development in the cup.
Jeinner Cubas Vasquez’s current washed offering is a bright, layered, and floral cup—a true reflection of his skill and the rich terroir of northern Peru. We’re proud to feature this coffee in our lineup and invite you to savor and share this standout lot from the Sol & Café cooperative.
